Hi, I'm Charity, founder/owner and creator of Sweet Lemon Thyme. I'm so happy you have made the time to browse our online shop. I started making my own running skirts in 2013, quickly started selling to friends who saw my run selfies on social, which turned into friends of friends. My little side hustle quickly evolved into a full time business, providing original handcrafted modest activewear worldwide. What a blessing it's been!

Why Sweet Lemon Thyme?
When I started brainstorming this business, I wanted a company where I could live out my passion and that is health and wellness. I'm an AADP Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and love educating others about living a healthy life, so coupling that with providing modest activewear, I couldn't think of a better outlet to make my dreams happen. When it came to naming the company, I wanted something that sounded fresh and cheerful when you saw or heard the name. Sweet Lemon Thyme was originally intended for the health + wellness aspect of the business model, but stuck around when we brought on modest activewear, and has now been endearingly labeled as SLT by our wonderful customers.
why modest activewear?
I made some healthy changes to my life in my mid-twenties and one of those changes was exercise and moving more. I started running and eventually began training for races. I come from a faith based background and wanted to be modest when I was exercising. I made my own running skirts because putting leggings under a skirt was not cutting it. When I started designing my own, I searched out the best fabric and what I felt comfortable in during hard workouts, especially running 20+ miles. Functionality and comfort are hugely important for workouts. I also wanted to look stylish when I was working out. No shame in my game! Functionality, quality, comfort and style are the four components of SLT.
If I was experiencing this same dilemma when finding appropriate and reasonable modest activewear, I knew others were as well. I want women of all ages, sizes and levels of fitness to feel comfortable, modest and stylish in SLT.
